U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO/G-6) Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS)

Problem

USACE required a broad and complex support capability that addressed a range of IT-based requirements to fulfill their mission effectively.

 

These critical support areas are designed to provide modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support for more than 37,000 users across 43 geographic districts and over 1,500 field and project offices worldwide in areas to include:

 

  • Modernization of IT Systems
  • Enterprise-Wide IT Solutions
  • Balance Tactical and Strategic support

 

USACE needed us to onboard personnel quickly and efficiently, integrate seamlessly with stakeholders, and provide a critical RITS solution that other contractors before us had not been able to deliver.

Solution

Supported the full range of diverse technology requirements to enable the USACE to progress it's technology objectives for the first time in many years. Created an Imaging Improvement Process that reduced provisioning time from 1 to 2 hours to less than 15 minutes, with our lowest time being just six minutes! Not only saved time and money, but gets the machines in the hands of the users quicker, increasing stakeholder satisfaction. Enabled our prime contractor (SAIC) to maintain the work for the full period of performance – the first time in several award cycles of the RITS contract.

Provided and managed a geographically disparate team supporting various USACE office locations nationwide.

Impact

Achieved over 99.5% uptime for Domain Authentication and Email Services for the entire U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Provided critical design, implementation and support services at the Enterprise level for a highly complex, secure and globally dispersed DoD Infrastructure, comprised of over 46,000 users on a 24x7x365 basis.

 

Increased overall user (customer) satisfaction over the period of performance.
