Joe Punaro is the President of IronArch Technology, a verified service-disabled, veteran-owned provider of Next Generation Enterprise IT, Business Transformation Solutions, and Consulting and Advisory Services. Mr. Punaro is responsible for day-to-day operations, program management, long-term strategy planning, and growth initiatives.
Prior to forming IronArch Technology, Mr. Punaro was the Founding Partner of BluestoneLogic, an information technology company specializing in systems analysis for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. He started BluestoneLogic and grew it into a successful business over a period of four years.
Before BluestoneLogic, Mr. Punaro served as the Director of Federal Client Solutions for Dynology Corporation. In this position, he was responsible for the company’s federal clients, providing program management and technical advice to the highest echelons of the Federal Government.
Mr. Punaro served on active duty as a United States Marine based in San Diego, California from 2001 – 2005. He served as a Company and Platoon Commander during his active duty service. Mr. Punaro participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and took part in the assault on Baghdad in April of 2003. He was present on the historic day of April 9, 2003 when the statue of Saddam Hussein was toppled in Baghdad. Mr. Punaro has earned several military awards and distinctions for heroism and leadership.
Prior to his service in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Punaro worked at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), the Office of Senator John Warner of Virginia, and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Punaro was appointed by Governor McDonnell to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond, Virginia and also serves on the Chain Bridge Bank Advisory Board in McLean, Virginia. He is a graduate of James Madison University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Information Systems and Finance.
